Group order rules and safety

The Group orders board is where members find other fans in their country to share a box and split shipping. It can save money, but it also involves trusting people you've met online. Please read these rules before you post or join, whether you're organising or taking part.
How group orders work here
- Members organise group orders, not HotDeals Korea. We provide the board. Organisers set up and run their own groups.
- We don't handle money between members. Any money you send to another member, for example your share of shipping, is a private arrangement between you. We can't hold it, refund it or recover it.
- Everyone has their own account. Each participant should sign up for their own free HotDeals Korea account and pay us directly for their own items. Don't send money to an organiser to pay us on your behalf.
- Organisers follow local import rules. If you're organising, you're responsible for making sure the shared box follows your country's import rules. That includes personal-use limits, import taxes and anything that can't be imported. Customs in your country decides.
If you're organising and have questions about setting up a shared box, open a support ticket and our team will explain the options.
Bulk orders. For 20 or more identical items, such as a group album order, the service fee is 3% of the store order instead of ₩3,500, with a minimum of ₩10,000.
Rules for posting
- Be clear about what's included. Say what's being bought, from which store, the price of each item in won, how shipping and import taxes will be split, and when the group closes.
- Say what happens if something sells out or the group doesn't fill up.
- Be honest. Don't exaggerate prices, savings or delivery times, and don't post on behalf of someone else.
- Keep personal details out of posts and comments. Don't post addresses, phone numbers, tax IDs, order numbers or payment details. Share only what's needed, privately, with people you trust.
- Be respectful. No harassment, spam or pressure. Keep conversations about the group order.
- Check the prohibited items list. Items we can't ship can't go in a shared box either.
Staying safe
Scams often follow familiar patterns. Be careful if someone:
- pushes you to pay quickly, before details are clear
- asks for payment by gift card, cryptocurrency or another method you can't reverse
- offers prices that look far lower than the store's price
- won't answer basic questions about the order, shipping or splitting costs
- asks you to pay them instead of paying for your own items through your HotDeals Korea account
We'll never ask you to pay another member, and we'll never ask you to pay us anywhere other than the checkout in your HotDeals Korea account. If someone claims to be from our team, check that their posts are marked as team posts, or ask us directly.
If you do send money to another member, use a payment method that offers buyer protection, keep records of everything you agreed, and only send what you can afford to lose.
Reporting a problem
If you think a post or member is running a scam, report it to us straight away:
- open a support ticket, or
- e-mail support@hotdealskorea.com
Include a link to the post, the member's display name and what happened. We can hide posts and disable accounts that break these rules.
We can't recover money paid between members. If you've lost money, contact your payment provider as soon as possible, and consider reporting it to the police or the consumer protection authority in your country.
We reply within one business day, Mon–Fri 09:00–18:00 KST. Thanks for helping keep the board safe for everyone.
